Introduction
The Block Module, located in the "Sales Order" category of modules is responsible for running the live sale on the block. From this module, block clerks can coordinate and communicate floor bids, online bids, and proxy bids for live sale units that are "crossing the block".
Navigation
To navigate to the block module, scroll down to Modules > Sales Orders > Block
Username and Password
The login to your block module is created within the yourauction.autoremarketers.com website and can be created, edited, or deleted from the Accounts > Manage Account Users section. The username and password created here are what you will use to login to the Block Module.
Auctioneer is the name of the Auctioneer running the sale on the block using the module.
Station is the station running the module with configured printers for receipts.
GSA Rep is the GSA Rep, if applicable, but must need to be changed each time the GSA Rep changes. Typically, you can select "No GSA Rep".
Floor Screen is the name of the type of Floor Screen you wish to use to display active units on the block.
Admin Console will allow you to use only the Console to manager the Sale
Screen will allow you to use only the auctioneer or bidder screen you've selected.
Both will allow you to use both the console and the selected screen.
Login - Will log you into the block module and prompt you for which sale event you are running.
Go Offline - Will allow you to use the Block Module in the event that you have lost internet but still wish to run the sale internally. "Going Offline" will be elaborated upon further in a separate article.
The Select an Event dropdown will appear after clicking Login and will allow you to choose the active event the module will manage. After selecting the correct event, click "Next".
Operation
Module Management
The Module Management section of the Block module is located at the top left of the block module.
Logout - Logs you out of the Block module and navigates the page back to the login screen for this module.
End Event - Will End the Event. Changes the "Start Event"/"Pause Event" button to "Start Event".
Start Event/Pause Event - Will Start the event and change the button to "Pause Event"
Allows you to pause the event when in progress.
Alternate - In the event that the block module runs slowly or seems to not be responding, the "Alternate" button switches the server to the alternate server. This may take time to switch so be weary of resorting to this solution too quickly.
Connected(AWG) - Shows the status of the event in terms of connection. When disconnected, the button will allow you to select Reconnect or Go Offline.
The General Information located to the right of these buttons displays the current Run Number and vehicle information of the unit assigned to that run number.
From the screenshot above, you can see the current Run Number is RUN #A004 and is a q2004 Saab 9-3. It has 195,678 ACTUAL miles, is silver, and is being sold by JD Byrider or Kalamazoo.
The Lights on the right are initially pulled from the Inventory file but can be selected or de-selected upon crossing the block. If the lights are changed, any received bids are completely reset. This nullifies any proxy bids submitted for the unit as well.
The Sale Information at the bottom of this section will allow you to refresh the event, observe the Reserve Price, also referred to as Floor Price, the BlackBook price (if integrated), and the current high proxy bid submitted for the unit.
Bid Status
The current bid status is displayed at the top center of the block screen and will show the amnount of the current bid, the current bidder, and will color either the Floor or Internet buttons here depending on if the current bid is submitted from the floor or online. Selecting the Clear Bids button will prompt you to verify you wish to perform the action, and will then clear all bids, including proxy bids for this unit.
Announcements
The Announcements section will allow you to customize announcements for a unit while the unit is on the block. Additionally, you can add your own custom announcements that might not be included in the initial pull of announcements from the inventory record (i.e. Selling all the way!). To add an announcement, merely click in the input box labeled "Select" and either select an existing announcement or type a new announcement you wish to add. Then press ENTER.
You can also delete existing announcements by clicking the - icon next to the existing announcement in the top box. These announcements are displayed to all bidders, on the floor and online.
Bid History and Chat
To keep up with the events of a unit and to establish proper communication with bidders, the Bid History and Chat windows, located at the bottom left of the module, allows a clerk to keep an eye on the bid history of a unit and adjust the bids if necessary. Additionally, the clerk and send messages to all bidders or specific bidders.
Run List
The Run List, located at the bottom right of the block module, allows you to type in a run number to jump straight to that run number, refresh the run list for vehicles that may have been added, removed, or changed, navigate back to a previous unit, or advance forward to the next unit.
Custom Bid and Asking Price List
The Custom Bid box will allow you to enter a custom bid amount for which to submit as a floor bid.
The Ask Price box will allow you to enter a custom bid amount for which to submit as an asking price.
The list below the Ask Price box will allow you to select a pre-set asking price. Merely navigate down the list and select the initial asking price you would like to begin bidding with.
Recent Status
The Recent Status box, located at the top right of the module, will let you know what status the current bidding of a unit is currently. This box will highlight when a unit is about to close bidding, then the unit is being accepted but waiting for a higher bid, when the unit is no longer accepting bids, and when it is sold, set to no sale, or sold on a phone/if.
Vehicle Navigation
The Vehicle Navigation section, located to the top right of the module, allows you manipulate the bidding of the unit. The list of numbers on the right is the bid increment and be customized as needed.
The Retract button will you to retract the previous bid received.
The About to Close button will announce that bidding on this unit is about close.
The Reset Status button will reset the current run of the selected vehicle and clear the recent status.
The Floor Override button will take the current online bid and amount, and change it to a floor bidder.
The Bid button will submit a floor bid at the current asking price or increment.
The Stop Bids button will not allow further bids to be received on this unit.
The Buyer Badge input field will allow you to submit the badge number of the bidder who won the lot and will allow you to select whether the unit is Sold outright, or on an if/phone call.
The sale concludes by first stopping bidding and then selecting one of the three buttons below. If bidding has not closed, the initial press of these buttons will first conclude bidding and will then perform their labeled function.
The No Sale button will set the unit to No Sale.
The Sold button will set the unit to Sold.
The If Sale button will sell the unit on an if/phone call.
The ReRun button, if enabled, will allow you to rerun a vehicle that has already been concluded. This will be disabled if the sale of a unit has already been processed. At which point, the unit will need to be restocked or voided from the office.

F8 = Closes bidding on current item.
F9 = Closes bidding on current item.
F10 = Closes bidding on current item.
F11 = No Sales the Unit
Numpad + = Enters a Floor Bid at the Increment Selected
Numpad - = Retracts the previous Bid
