Introduction

The OneBlock monitor tool is an optional tool that loads upon starting the Block Module within Auction Master. The OneBlock tool interacts with the Admin Console and forwards the run information, light changes, and sale actions made from Admin Console to the inventory record within Auction Master. This tool is a required tool for auctions that utilize the IAS Simulcast and Auction Master as it is what records the Simulcast bids and wins and forwards them to Auction Master to keep records synced between the two platforms.

Starting OneBlock

Admin Console Configuration

The Admin Console can sale record the current sale without Auction Master's Block Module. However, this will not keep your local records synced with the records of Auction Master and will not verify correct badge numbers for floor bidders to auto-fill who the winning bidder is. Additionally, any transactions that are submitted through the Admin Console while OneBlock is not running will fail to write those transactions to Auction Master.

To rectify this, you must enable Auction Master integration so that the Admin Console can interact with Auction Master's Block module. After performing this step, ensure that the connection between the Admin Console and OneBlock modules is established and tracking transactions.

Auction Master Block Module

The block module within Auction Master can sale record the current sale without the Admin Console. However, this will localize the sale and will not take Simulcast or online bids, proxies, or offers into account. Additionally, this will not sync transactions made from Auction Master to the Simulcast inventory listings in live status and will only be updated when the AWG Automated Process has a chance to sync those transactions. To take live Simulcast actions into account, you must run the OneBlock module with the Block Module.

Operation

One Block Window

For information on the operation of the block, please see the Block Module article in the solutions database. This article will only elaborate upon the operation of the OneBlock Module.

Exit - Clicking Exit will close the OneBlock module and will no longer track transactions submitted from Auction Master. Opening the OneBlock module after a transaction submitted in the Admin Console will require the transaction to be manually entered into Auction Master.

Online/Offline/Pending - The next button will indicate the connection status of the OneBlock module to the Admin Console. To verify an active and reliable connection, navigate to different run numbers in the Admin Console and check both the OneBlock and Block modules to verify that both are changing the active run number respectfully.

Go! - Clicking this button will move the active run number to the one entered in the input box to the left.

Prior - Will select the previously active unit in the Block/OneBlock module.

Next - Will select the next unit to be active in the Block/OneBlock module.

The "Go!", "Next", and "Prior" buttons should only be used if OneBlock is not following the selected unit from the Admin Console as this should be automatic.

Seller Information - The Red outlined box to the right of the "Go!" button is the seller information box and will display the Seller's consignment number in Auction Maser as well as the primary rep and dealership the active unit is being sold by.

Expand/More Info - Clicking this button will expand the OneBlock window and display more information about the active unit.

Sale Transactions

Recording

After submitting a transaction from the Admin Console (i.e. Sale, No Sale, IF-Sale), the information is sent to the OneBlock module that will record the transaction and write it to Auction Master's inventory record for the active unit.
